CASTING CALL: MARY MAN

An exciting opportunity to be part of what will be one of the biggest Irish films of 2026, from the filmmaker behind The Young Offenders. Producers have issued a casting call for singers in lead, secondary and background roles of a new feature film to be filmed in Co.Kerry, late 2025.

“Mary Man” is a story about a woman outcast from Irish society who has an incredible voice, challenges perceptions and brings joy back to her community when she competes in a singing competition. The film is packed with laughs, music, and a hugely inspirational message about being true to yourself.

We will be casting all ages from 18+, covering a variety of roles.

*Please note that all roles will involve singing. The ability to sing is essential and a part of the casting process.*

Singing audition

Please submit a Vimeo/Youtube URL to a video of you performing a song of your choice. It should be in your own voice, with no backing track or adjustments. The download option should be turned on in Vimeo’s video settings.

Please submit a Vimeo/Youtube URL to a video introducing yourself and telling us a bit about yourself. This video must be a minimum of 2 MINUTES long. Any videos shorter than this will not be viewed.
